Deleting explainers

You can delete any explainer you own. Right-click it, choose Delete explainer, and click Confirm when Scrimba asks Are you sure?

The explainer is removed from Scrimba. Its link and any embeds of it stop showing it, and if you were watching it, you're taken back to the Explain page.

Exported videos

If you exported the explainer, the video and its captions file are deleted along with it. Download the video first if you want to keep a copy.

Who can delete

Only the owner can delete an explainer. That includes explainers from ChatGPT or a coding agent once you've claimed them, since claiming makes them yours.

The agent itself can't delete anything: its Scrimba tools create explainers and playlists, but none of them delete. To remove one, delete it on Scrimba.

Deleting a playlist

Lessons in a playlist can't be deleted one at a time. On any lesson in a playlist, the menu offers Delete playlist instead of Delete explainer, with the same confirmation.

Deleting a playlist deletes every lesson in it, along with each lesson's exported video. If the playlist is still generating, generation stops.
