Story-driven beats get a generated image: a place, a person, an era, an object, or the lesson's central metaphor. History and non-code topics can play like a short documentary, with an image setting each scene while the narration carries the facts.

Every image in an explainer is generated in the same art style, chosen once for the whole lesson, so the deck looks like one film rather than a collage of clip art. Code-centered explainers use images sparingly: an opening hook, a metaphor, a closing scene, with the mechanics left to code, diagrams, and animations.

Images never carry exact content. Code, tables, API names, and formulas belong on slides that render them precisely.

Getting good image slides

Story topics get images on their own. You can also ask directly: make it visual, like a documentary.
