Some pages are easier to watch than to read. The Scrimba Explain Chrome extension turns the page you're on into an explainer: a narrated video summary of what the page says, played in an overlay right on top of it.

How it works

On any article, documentation page, or blog post, click the extension. Explain reads the page and builds an explainer of it, streaming in while you watch. You stay on the page the whole time; the explainer plays in an overlay, and closing it puts you right back where you were.

If someone has already made an explainer of the same page, you get that one instantly instead of waiting for a new one to build. Popular pages come with their explainer ready to play.

Continuing on Scrimba

The overlay has an Open on Scrimba button that takes the explainer to scrimba.com, where you can save it to your account, share it, and ask follow-up questions.

Page explainers made through the extension are public, so the link is shareable as-is. See Privacy, claiming and sharing for what public means and how to change it.

The extension reads whatever page you are on. To teach from files you choose, attach them on Scrimba instead.
