The community

Set an explainer to public and it joins the community on scrimba.com/explain, where anyone can find and watch it. Explainers you make while signed in start out public, so unless you picked another visibility in the composer, a finished one joins on its own.

An explainer of yours that isn't public has Publish to Community in its menu, and one click makes it public. For a playlist, the item appears on its first lesson once every lesson has finished, and it publishes the whole playlist.

WhatsApp group

Join our WhatsApp group to share feedback on Scrimba Explain, ask questions, and talk directly with its creators.

The feed

Public explainers appear in the Community tab of the explain page, and show up in search. Anyone can watch them, no account needed.

Views and likes

Public and unlisted explainers count their views, once per viewer. Signed-in viewers can like the ones that taught them something, though not their own. Both show on the explainer, so you can see which of your lessons people watch.

Featured

Scrimba picks the best public explainers for the Featured tab on the explain page. There's nothing to apply for: make something good and public, and it can end up there. When one of yours is picked, you get an email.
